For tomorrow I’ll have the opening of the third solo-exposition by Dutch artistArjen Baars on my agenda and I will send some pic’s through moby picture in order to show you his work.

Despite my education in Arts & Design I do not look at the deeper meaning of a piece of art when I’m decorating or styling a home. Instead I ‘ll pick my favourites for their decorative addition to the interiors. When the color palette of a room is rather dull, I’ll apply some canvasses or litho’s to spice it up. On the other hand when the results of a color scheme is challenging, I can choose for the option to add some framed photography or graphics in black & white in order to soothe the colorful impact.

Herewith some scan’s from the latest edition of the Maison Française. It’s the result of a photo shoot of a Paris apartment owned by the interior designerStéphane Poux. In the colorful hall he has chosen a painting by Claire Furnard, that is lovely and timid in its palette. His retro dining area has been finished with a piece by Romain Bernini that fits the colour scheme in black, mauve and violet. The interiors of Poux’s living is fresh but intimate and perfectly completed with an expressive piece of art by Marion Francini. With these examples you can look at your own collection of wall decoration. Probably my insights will help you to optimize your interiors. If you are a fanatic art lover you’ll not agree with me but I do hope so you will come back next time.
