Christmas with flower bulbs

023 Christmas with flower bulbs

Like I promised I would show you some Christmas ideas with flower bulbs. This photo is from today, after I did some shopping at Jemi’s, my favourite flower shop around the corner. Jemi is selling hyacinth and trumpet bulbs that will grow into pot plants with white calyces, that have a semi sweet scent. You’ll need four weeks before the bulbs have changed into blossoming plants, so if you like the idea of decorating your home with fresh flowers, please take my advice and look for some bulbs. Hyacinth bulbs are to purchase in white (stone coloured bulbs), pink (light brown coloured bulbs) and blue (burgundy coloured bulbs). Trumpets are to buy in white and yellow. I’ve chosen for white and blue bulbs for the reason I have a Nordic style in mind. If you prefer a more trendy style, you could think about choosing pink bulbs that will match with the red glittery Christmas accessories you can find at the stores. As soon as the bulbs are out, I’ll show you the result that will be not as clean and cold as the pics of today. Tomorrow more about the Nordic inspired table setting.
