Courtepointe

Although our climate is changing and our winter will start later, the nights in Amsterdam are getting colder. While I was looking for a down quilt; it became clear to me that those classics have become rare. In France they call this decorative bedspread a ‘courtepointe’. The size of a courtepointe is small; it measures 120 cm x 120 cm and functions as an extra layer, on top of the blanket | duvet. In an old French Elle Decor I’ve found a description for preparing a courtepointe by hand. If you have no time to dedicate yourself to this old craftsmanship, you can always go for the alternative and that is a satin guilt.
