This blog post and more to come will give a list of our addresses in affordable design classics. Hans J. Wegner, an awarded Danish designer, created simple but comfortable wooden chairs in the beginning of the last century. His designs are typical for their subtle wood finish. After some desk research we learned that his designs are still wanted and expensive. In order to find a bargain we ticked the name of the designer in the search box of the local Dutch e-bay, called marktplaats.nl and found these treasures. The seller bought this set of Danish fauteuils during his city trip in Berlin. The first owner was a Berlin Doctor, whose household was been sold at the local flee market, where the seller and his wife were looking for bargains. Back in Holland the fauteuils did not fit and were presented for sale. Our bargain: € 160,00 for a set of Danish classics.

Next post is about the upholstery of these fauteuils.
