Last weekend we enjoyed the warm weather in the big apple and got inspired by the trees. The city has been filled by blossoms in white, pink, pale green and yellow. The combination of the blossoming trees and street life can make beautiful colour schemes. Those scheme’s we daily apply in our colouring consult.

Remarkable about this photo is the combination of white and pale green (the tree), beige (the house) and real green (the container) . We like this scheme to apply in a hallway for the reason that this scheme transcends the impression of a visitor, whose leaving the outside and is entering your house. The touch of real green is for spicing up the overall and is applicable in accessories.

We would never think of this colour scheme ourselves. But this combination of lots of white | purple pink | abricot and heavenly blue is an eye opener. This is to apply in a well lit room, like a conservatory or a penthouse. Please be careful with the abricot, use it delicately.

This combination of greenish yellow, brown and heavenly blue is quite old fashioned and we love it. The contrast between heavenly blue and greenish yellow has been subdued by the dark brown. This colour scheme is applicable in bad lit rooms like studies and guestrooms.
