In a blog post from last September 2009, I promised to come back for the new trends. In it I showed some designs from ‘Couturiers’ that might have influenced the interiors industry.

From the February edition of Vogue UK I have scanned an add from Burberry’s that is visualizing a couple of influences for the SS 2010 lines in furnishing, furniture and accessories. The designs of the Mac’s (trench coats), the military belt and the bag descend from some classics of the nineteen forties. But the use of an organic sort of adaptation like the folding of the skirt and top and the bamboo like structure in the leather of the bag result in a new look that is urban, chic and natural. The soft colouring in powdery and shiny tones in camels, grays, greens, skin and stones fortify this trend that is suitable for interiors.
